Bluearth with Mitch

On Wednesday, July 27th, we were lucky enough to have another visit from Mitch, our wonderful Bluearth coach. Thanks, Mr Beck, for organising this.

As always, we had a fantastic time! We played some new games and did a heap of activities based on coordination. We ran, skipped, hopped and jumped, both forwards and backwards. We also did lots of cross patterning. That is when you cross the midline of your body. It wakes your brain up and helps the left and right parts of your brain to work better together. Some of the activities were challenging, but our brains LOVE challenges. Even when you think you can't do something, your brain loves it! So keep practising and master the challenges. Your brain will thank you!

Grade 2s, share a skill with someone at home, and give their brain some exercise, too! :)

Octopus, with crabs instead of seaweed.
Marvellous Mitch

Starting off with easy cross-patterning.
Getting trickier.
Very tricky!
Check out those smiles!

Backwards skipping. Practise makes perfect.
Touching our toes while skipping. Try it at home.
