Market Day - 2N

Wow! The bar was set super high by 2N at our first Market Day on Monday, December 5th.

Children worked hard at school and many, many families helped at home to provide goods for 2N's market. They had cookies, cupcakes, massages, popcorn, artwork, toys, fairy bread, bracelets, bottle toss, stories, drawings, honey joys, chocolate crackles and more!

Children have been earning money in class for good work and behaviour, and this became their spending money. There were many bargains available and there was something for everyone.

Well done, 2N. And, home helpers, you are AMAZING! You made our first Market Day one to remember!

Excursion

On Friday, November 18th, our grade twos headed off on an excursion to the Waterfront and the Kardinia Christmas Concert. The photos below show just how much fun was had by all!

Performing Arts Concert

On Tuesday December 6th the Preps, 1s and 2s had their Performing Arts Concert. It was a very successful night because we wore fabulous costumes, did incredible dances and had an amazing time!

Thanks to Mrs Hartshorne who choreographed our awesome dances. Thanks to Mr Whelan who provided PA, speakers, etc. Thanks to Trevor for the colourful lighting display. Oh, and thanks to our parents for our cool costumes and for coming along and joining in the fun.

Careers Day (with a twist)

On Tuesday we had Careers Day. That means teachers dress up as school kids and the kids from LPS dress up as what they want to be when they're older. I dressed up as a business man, some other people dressed up as artists, inventors, builders and much more. Some kids just wanted to be plain old kids, but that's OK. We had to make money so nurses can come visit sick kids at their house.

Yesterday we had Careers Day. But it had a twist, the teachers had to dress up as school kids. I was a soccer player. I would like to be a soccer player because I can kick goals on the soccer ground. Emmersyn was a rockstar, Alyza was a vet, Hollie was a motorbike rider and Eva was a scientist. Everyone liked it. We raised money for 'Hospitals in Homes'.

On Tuesday, November 1st, we had JSC Career Day. We had a parade. I was dressed as an inventor. I had a clipboard and safety goggles. There also were some vets, fairies, nurses, teachers, etc. The twist was that teachers had to dress as school kids.

On Careers Day we raised money for the nurses to help sick children in their own house. I wore a Saints t-shirt. There were vets, dancers, fairies, nurses, DJs, artists, army people and lots more! We could pay a gold coin donation.

On Tuesday the 1st of November it was Careers Day with a twist. I dressed as a beauty therapist. A beauty therapist does a massage and paints nails. It was exciting. It was a gold coin donation. It was going to 'Hospitals in Homes'.
